Multi-Skilled Fitter

We are currently looking to recruit permanent experienced multi skilled fitters to assist in the preparation of new and refurbishment of panel cabins, anti-vandal units, and modular buildings prior to them being deployed to clients.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in modular buildings across different sectors, with timber buildings / garden rooms and cold-room’s being examples of the specific candidates. There is a requirement to work on site to erect and install, along with carrying out external and internal refurbishment of existing rental fleet across UK & Europe.
The role will be varied and will require the candidate to be flexible in their work and be able to demonstrate the ability to think on their feet and to be able to work unsupervised and complete projects as planned by Head of Operations / Operations Director.
Reponsibilities
Our experienced Multi-Skilled Fitters carry out a variety of tasks whilst refurbishing the fleet of portable shops, modular retail cabins and units in steel and GRP for hire or purchase. There is a necessity to work at various high-profile venues fitting, installing and refurbishing our units.
The role will include the following work to be carried out on a wide range of buildings:
- Maintenance of existing assets in UK & Europe.
- Refurbishment of Rapid Retail or customers’ modular units, cabins, or kiosks in UK & Europe.
- Manufacture, erect and refurbish kiosks, cabins or modular buildings.
- Contributing to the production and assembly of all types of customer specific refurbishment and new requirement, from small to large bespoke designs.
- Using hand tools, power tools and machinery including jigsaws, circular saws, and more.
- Assembly of panel cabins, mobile merchandise units
- Fitting of windows and doors.
- Assisting with other elements of the build process where required.
There is a requirement to work away from home within different stadia or venues in the UK & Europe.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Skilled ability to use hand and power tools.
- Electrical knowledge.
- Competent working with measurements, dimensions, and technical drawings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment to meet deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and focused on delivering a quality product.
- Ability to follow operating procedures to ensure high standards are delivered.
- You will need to be physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items both on your own and with assistance
- A practical approach to challenges.
- Good communication skills and self-confidence.
- Willing to develop & learn new skills within a manufacturing and factory environment.
- A reliable character with excellent time keeping.
- Experience in similar roles such as kitchen fitters, furniture assemblers etc will be considered.
- Plumbing knowledge helpful to have.
- Carpentry and joinery experience useful to have.
Essential Requirements:
- Passport
- Driving licence
- CSCS Card / Equivalent H&S Qualifications.
- Fitting and installation of cold rooms or similar.
- Previous experience working with timber garden buildings or modular cabins, or a construction background.
- A selection of your own basic hand tools.

- 45 hours per week (7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday), including 30 minutes paid lunch daily.
- Hourly rate between £13.50 - £15.00, experience dependent. NOTE- Additional hours available.
- Overnight subsistence and inconvenience allowance UK: £40 per overnight stay Extra £10 in London.
- Overnight subsistence and inconvenience allowance Europe £60 Overnight Stay. (Note: Payment will be made in advance).
- 25 days holiday per year (excluding Bank Holidays).
- Company pension following a successful 3-month probationary period.
