Rapid Retail tackles profits at the Millennium Stadium
Profits at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium were kicked into touch by the use of a Rapid Retail merchandising unit to cope with extra demand at the recent Six Nations Wales v Ireland clash. Significant revenue was generated from the portable shop at what was for Cardiff, one of the most important events for 2009.
74,500 Welsh and Irish supporters filled the seats and the units provided the opportunity for hardy fans to immerse themselves in the spirit of the game with hats, scarves and other patriotic items and for the Welsh, the chance to pay tribute to the boys on home soil.
Rapid Retail, supplier of portable retail units helps clubs and stadiums like Cardiff to increase their retail footprint at an affordable cost, to maximise on impulse purchase opportunities. Ready to use and decorated in the clubs own branding and graphics they are rented out on a match by match basis. This was the second game for which Rapid Retail provided the unit to the stadium, the first being Wales v England.
