Rapid Retail’s programme for club success is just the ticket

Rapid retail’s programme for club success is just the ticketRapid Retail, supplier of portable retail units to Premier League football and rugby clubs and entertainment venues, has just signed a deal to supply First Division Rugby Club, London Welsh RFC with 2 bespoke programme and ticketing kiosks.

The deal is one in a whole series of such agreements that will be helping clubs to improve official programme and ticket sales by making them available right where the fans need them.

The firm, chosen earlier this year as the official suppliers of units for the UEFA Cup Final in Manchester, and who provided units for last year’s Rugby World Cup, has supplied dozens of kiosks to sports venues throughout the UK.

Those clubs currently benefiting from these highly visible, portable programme and ticketing units are Premier League football clubs Manchester City and Aston Villa and Premiership rugby clubs Gloucester Rugby and local rivals Worcester Warriors.

However, whilst Man City have taken eleven of Rapid’s bespoke kiosks it’s not just the big boys who are taking advantage of their flexibility and portability; Doncaster Rovers have seven kiosks, whilst Swindon Town FC and Bristol City have taken three apiece. Rapid’s kiosks can also be found north of the boarder at Hearts FC and over the Channel at The Stade de France in Paris.

It doesn’t stop there either. Rapid’s kiosks have been installed at The Oval, and were to be found at both the recent Olympic Games handover party in London and at London’s Movieum event earlier this year where the kiosks were used as information points

Available in various sizes, each of Rapid’s highly versatile kiosks is modern and stylish and, once decorated with Club graphics and branding, is highly visible. The units come fully ‘plug & play’ ready, being capable of taking a variety of utilities. The use of solar panels helps to provide an efficient and low cost way of supplying power needed to drive lighting, heating, tills and computers.

The kiosks help to ease pressure on the busy club shops and offices, improving visitor turnaround, reducing time spent queuing, and provide the club with an affordable way to access flexible and adaptable retail floor space, helping them to maximise impulse purchase opportunities.

As Rapid Retail managing director Nick Daffern explains: “It’s good to see more and more venues capitalising on the advantages portable retail space offer. The Kiosks drive up revenues and maximise opportunities to buy, and they can deliver these benefits whilst saving costs and energy at the same time.”

“The Kiosks are self funding with minimum or no capital outlay and they increase programme sales, speed up ticket collection and purchase and are an ideal way for venues to provide information about events either on the day, or in the future.”
